How much does a quad tour in Zakopane cost?
With the two-person option, a driver and passenger ride on one vehicle and you only pay the difference shown in the table.
The one-hour option – a quick adrenaline boost
The one-hour tour (Quad Trip 1) is the shortest way to see how a quad handles mountain terrain. You ride the closest routes around the base, get to know the vehicle and tackle your first steep climb. It is a good choice if your Zakopane schedule is tight or if you are getting behind the wheel of a four-wheeler for the first time.
Two hours – the most terrain and the best views
Quad Trip 2 is the most popular quad tour option. Two hours are enough to go beyond the immediate area, follow forest tracks and reach meadows with beautiful views of the Tatras. If you want scenic Podhale routes rather than just the ride itself, choose this option.
Three hours in the evening – a moonlit adventure
The most atmospheric option is Quad Trip 3. Halfway through the route there is a bonfire break with a hot meal, which tastes even better with views like these.

What is included in a Zakopane quad tour?
Every quad tour in Zakopane includes:
- fuel for the whole route,
- a pre-ride briefing, including for people with no previous experience,
- a helmet for the driver and passenger,
- a guide who rides with the group on their own quad and adjusts the pace to the participants,
- a bonfire with a hot meal included in the three-hour option.
You do not need your own equipment or off-road experience. Simply arrive at the base at the agreed time and the organiser will take care of the rest.

Two practical notes. First, the suit is not included in the price – if you do not want to dirty your own clothes, add PLN 35 per person. Second, insurance for PLN 45 limits your financial liability for the vehicle and is the most affordable way to make the tour feel truly worry-free.
Buggy tours in Zakopane – price and differences from a quad
A buggy is a 4x4 vehicle with a cabin, seat belts and side-by-side seats. It drives more like an off-road car than an ATV, so it works well for couples and families.
The most important practical difference is the minimum passenger age: a child can ride as a quad passenger from the age of seven, while a buggy passenger can be as young as one. If you are travelling with a small child, a buggy is the only option.

In winter, choose a snowmobile instead of a quad

Which option should you choose?
Your first time on a quad
Choose the one-hour option. You always ride with a guide and receive a briefing before setting off, so a lack of experience is no obstacle. We explain more in our separate guide to quad tours in Zakopane for beginners.
You care about the views
Choose two hours. The shorter route does not take you far enough to reach the best viewpoints around Kościelisko and Witów.
You are looking for stronger thrills
Choose two or three hours. A sportier riding style, a longer route and more demanding terrain create a different adventure from a relaxed ride close to the base.
You are travelling with a company or larger group

Who can drive a quad and who rides as a passenger?
The driver must have a driving licence. This is the only formal requirement for the person behind the handlebars. A person riding beside the driver on the same vehicle does not need a licence, but cannot drive.
In practice, this means the two-person option works well when only one of you has a driving licence or when you want to share the cost. The minimum passenger age is seven on a quad and one in a buggy.

Where is the base and how do you get there?
We start from our base on Gubałówka in Zakopane. From Krupówki, take the PKL funicular and then walk for around a dozen minutes. By car, approach from the Kościelisko side; parking is available on site. If you prefer an easier arrival, add a hotel transfer for PLN 45 per person.

How to prepare
